Hi- I’m Devin. I like music. A lot. I collect 7-inch records, and if you do too, you know why. There’s something so rad about them that’s kind of hard to articulate- for me, anyway. They’re just these things whose sole existence is to have two songs on them (usually), and especially when in the company of others, it’s so nice to dig through them and then dig each tune on it’s own. One at a time, punctuated by flipping the record or changing it out entirely. Admittedly, most of the time I stream music passively while I’m doing chores or cooking or whatever, but listening to 7s is an activity. It’s tangible, engaging, proactive, and dynamic. It’s a whole vibe. It’s FUN.

I started this label mostly for self serving reasons. Everything I’m going to put out is stuff that I actually really want in my collection. It’s not genre or era-specific, or esoteric, or super obscure, and maybe even not that old. It’s reissue in the sense that it hasn’t been on 7 inch before, even if it’s been available or even is available on other formats. It’s a passion project meant to be self-sustainable and fund subsequent releases. I’m not going to get rich doing this or even make a living doing it- I’m doing it because I want that record, and hey… You might, too. For now I'll be sticking to a model of doing limited runs of 500 copies of everything I put out- at that scale, it's not very cost effective, but feels a bit more special. All of the artists will be making about a third of all profit that I make.
